Archery Technician/Buyer


Purchasing Essential Functions: 
• Identify customer preferences and forecast consumer trends
• Evaluate supplier options according to prices, quality etc. and determine the best choices
• Discover and purchase new products and check the quality and popularity of those already on our shelves
• Negotiate terms of agreements to achieve the best deal for our company
• Ensure the timely delivery of products and compliance with the contracts of purchase
• Monitor stock levels and make plans for buying within budget
• Forge and maintain trust relationships with suppliers to promote fair dealing

Technician Essential Functions: 
• Welcome, greet and address customers in friendly and courteous manner while providing prompt and outstanding services to customers
• Be knowledgeable to answer questions concerning location, price and use of merchandise
• Stock shelves, counters or tables with merchandise
• Carefully follow instructions per specific requests of the customer, while maintaining safety requirements
• Service bows including: Setting up bows with accessories, Tuning Bows, Repair of bows, and Stringing bows
• Communicate process of repair and suggestions for ongoing maintenance
• Maintain an orderly and exceptionally clean appearance of personal work space, archery bench, back stock space and surrounding areas

• Knowledge of archery in hunting fields and of primitive archery equipment; use of longbows and recurves, as well as ability to set up, troubleshoot, repair, and adjust compound.
• Prior retail experience preferred

• Ability to meet the Federal requirements for handling and processing firearm transactions
• Capability to draw back a bow of 70 pounds
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Be professional in appearance and attitude, contribute to a positive team atmosphere and treat others with respect and consideration while following RMI Outdoors policies and procedures.
